Bravery of second son

After testing his first son,  Shiv sharma felt now it will be the time to test his second son, Veda sharma. So He called Veda sharma and ordered him to bring the beautiful faced girl who just crossed her way with shiva sharma on road. Next moment veda sharma went in search of that beautiful faced women and requested her to be his father’s wife. Being another illusion created by shiva sharma, that girl said to veda sharma that how can she get married to an old man, who is suffering with all kinds of diseases like cough when she can marry veda sharma instead? He felt bad for hearing those words and stopped her saying any further. And he continued convincing by addressing her as MOTHER.
O Mother if you marry my father I can give you anything which might be impossible to get in this earth. By hearing these words she asked him to show her the gods including Indra (The kind of gods).by listening those words, he immediately he wished the same in his mind. As soon as he wished of that, all the gods including Indra came in front of them. And Indra asked Veda sharma, “Dear son what do you want? I want to give you some boon. Please ask”
Hearing those words, veda sharma asked Indra to grant him most devotion towards his father. All the gods said “So be it” and they disappeared. By seeing the gods, she said she has nothing to do with the gods. BY coming to sorrow Veda sharma gave himself another chance to request her to be his mother, by saying he can do anything to please her to be his father’s wife. By hearing those words she asked him to offer his own head by himself. He happly accepted for that and instantly he cut his own head. And offered that head to her. She took that head and reached his father, the mighty Shiv sharma.
Then shiv sharma felt happy for his second son as he also passed in the PITRUBHAKTI test. Then he felt now it is time to test his third son, Dharma sharma.

test for eldest son

Once shiv sharma wanted to test his son’s Pithru bhakti (devotion towards their father). He wanted to test wether his sons are serving them (himself and their mother) heartfully (100%).

In order to test them he made a plot and started his illusion for his sons long before his test. He made an illusion that his wife, the mother of 5 sons suffering from some kind of illness. and when he thought that the right time came to test his eldest son he made another step in his illusion that hi wife lost her life because of that illness. All the five sons started weeping for their mother and went to their father to ask what should be done with the body of their mother. (Generally Hindus have different kinds of rituals to their loved ones bodies including but not limited to : letting in the fire or burial). Then shiv sharma ordered his eldest son, yagna sharma to cut her body by each part and throw it away here and there (Which is not allowed in Hinduism). And yagna sharma followed his fathers words not even questioning his father even in his thoughts.

And Shiv sharma felt his eldest son has passed the test.

PITHRUBHAKTI- a different test for sons

Now- a –days, the time has come that some people call their parents by their names even in india. But there was one time where the fathers and mothers are well respected and they had very strange ways to test their children about their devotion towards parents. This strange story was said in Padma purana in Bhumi khanda.

There lived a brahmin named Shiv sharma lived in Dwarika at west coastal part of India. He had 5 sons named
  1. Yajna sharma
  2. Veda sharm
  3. Dharma sharma
  4. Vishnu sharma
  5. Som sharma
And all the 5 sons are well educated in vedas, vedangas and equally talented as their father and always obeys the orders of their parents.
Once Shiv sharma wanted to test his sons for their PITHRUBHAKTI. And for that he opted an unique ways to test his each son.
