Kalpa

Kalpa is also a time frame.  as we already knew about the 14 manvantaras. the time taken to complete these 14 manvantaras is called kalpa, which is same as a day of Bhagavan Brahma

i.e., Kalpa = 14 manvantaras = 1 day for Brahma

for our convenience it was said that even Brahma has 30 days for a month. And even each day of his month was named according to Matsya purana as below.

Manvantara - A time frame

According to hindu mythology we have 14 manvantaras. those are

  1. swambhuva manvantara 
  2. swarochisha manvantara
  3. uttama manvantara
  4. taamasa manvantara 
  5. raivatha manvantara
  6. chakshusa manvantara
  7. vaivaswatha manvantara
  8. saavarni manvantara
  9. daxa saavarni manvantara
  10. brahma savarni manvantara
  11. dharma savarni manvantara
  12. rudra savarni manvantara
  13. deva savarni manvantara
  14. indra savarni manvantara 

Every manvantara will have several maha yugas. And every maha yuga contains 4 yugas.

names of those yugas and their time spans (in years) are listed below

  • krutha yuga - 17280000
  • tretha yuga - 1296000
  • dwapara yuga - 864000
  • kali yuga - 4320000

5 Senses

fences are 5. this is the common thing that we all know. there are 5 senses and have 5 respective sense organs. those are

  1. Smell - nose
  2. Taste - tongue
  3. Touch - skin
  4. Sight - eye
  5. Hear - ear
